Lily

Lily is on exploring the wounds of religious conflict. It stems from feelings of restriction and rejection from the people we love the most. In this, I explore the tangible image of an altar and reimagine it in a sense that is more inaccessible. What is left when our statues are gone? What does this mean as a Filipino woman who is still practicing Catholicism? This artwork aims to make sense of the symbols that we are exposed to, and is a means of healing through art.
